GOD’S CHANNEL OF BLESSING

GOD’S CHANNEL OF BLESSING

Do you know what it means to become a channel of God’s blessing?

It means God is simply using you as an instrument with which He can serve His purpose.  For example, a radio ministry has to be opened in order to reach out thousands of people.  In order that this will be accomplished, He will be needing a hand, a person to make this happen.  First, He will implant in your heart that this is the ministry He wants you to do.  Then He will supply the resources that will be needed – money, people, circumstances.  As you receive the money, remember it is not by your strength that this came to you – maybe thru a business venture, thru your profession or whatever work you may have.  It is to be used for God’s work that has been implanted in your heart.  Until and unless you finish the job, will you not find real contentment and pure joy.

Is God a user?  Absolutely not!  He is simply giving man the opportunity to be part of His great work in His kingdom building.  In fact, innumerable and immeasurable benefits come with being a channel of His blessing which are among others:

  1.  You get to partake of the fruit of His blessings.

Part of what you earn may be used for the ministry He intended you to have but most part of it are used personally by you and your loved ones.  Hence, you get to enjoy it and embrace happily.  And what’s so amazing is that the more you give, the more you receive.  You can never outgive God!

There was this ordinary young lady who was touched to give more than her tithe for the advancement of God’s kingdom.  In one altar call, she committed to give one-third of her income despite the fact that during that time she was the bread winner of the family.  In difficult times, she never let up.  She persisted and continued to follow her vow.  She never lacked anything.  God provided for all her needs even above what she could have earned on her own.  In fact, at a such a young age, she was already one of the managers in the company where she worked where most of the officers where twice her senior and predominantly male.  But the biggest reward of all was the conversion of her whole family to true Christianity.

Countless testimonies will bear to this truth.  The more you give, the more you receive.

2.  The eternal benefit is assured.

Once life is ended, you will see that the portion you have given to the Lord were used to build your mansion in heaven.  The money may have won souls for the Lord, but still this redowned to your profit.  Profit that will never be taken from you …forever.  Your giving created for you fruits that are thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and even hundredfold.  You will not be able to count them all.  And just like in so-called “pyramid” or “networking” business, you will still earn points to your credit even after your demise because the treasure you gave might  still be winning souls thru your “downline.”

3.  You cannot outgive God.

As you give to the Lord, the law of multiplication, not addition, works tremendously in your life.  What you have given away for the Lord’s work comes back to you thirtyfold up to hundredfold so that your territory is enlarged beyond your wildest imagination.  Greater blessings both in this world and in the ages to come.

God is a father.  And just like any father, He delights to give back to His generous children much more than the value of the gift that was offered to Him.  He is not after the  gift but the heart that readily gave for God loves a cheerful giver.  This becomes a sweet aroma to Him, so much so that as His heart is delighted His hand willingly opens and gives.

Thank the Blessor.

But with the being used comes the preparation also so that once you are prepared you are made fit for the King’s work.

Preparation No. 1 –

Can you be trusted with the little that you have right now?  When He says to you, “Give me a tenth of your income,”  do you give this?  During abundance, maybe yes.  But when tough times come, do you still obey Him?  Do you still have that willing heart to bring the Lord’s tithe into His storehouse?  Or are you giving as a tradition and with fear that your needs will not be supplied or the devourer might come and attack you but deep down in the recess of your heart and dark abyss of your mind, you are reluctant even to the point of a secret contempt for giving?

Preparation No. 2 –

Difficulties in life.  Have you ever experienced to become penniless?  While daily expenses may be coming in, no source of income is in view.  You become hopeless and you rage on inside.  The battle inside begins.

Suppose you say, ‘I have become faithful to the Lord by bringing my tithes and attended church services regularly, participated in the ministries I was called to.  Yet I remain poor. ‘ Or maybe not so poor, yet difficult to make both ends meet.  You become deeper in debt and there seems to be no way out.

Could you still be trusted to remain faithful to God?  Faithfulness is one key to the doors of opportunities and blessings.

Preparation No. 3 –

Have you felt as if God isn’t listening to you?  Your prayers remain unanswered.  For years, you long to see the hand of God move, but He seemed far away and silent.

Do you know that the bible patriarchs had the same experience as well?  ‘Has God forgotten to be gracious?’ asked the Psalmist.  The prophets experienced so much adversities despite their frequent communication with the Lord.  The martyrs never saw their deliverance.  But did they stop trusting God?  Absolutely not!  For records show that they became living witness of God’s faithfulness, and their lives proved to become a channel of God’s blessing even in their death.

Preparation No. 4 –

How is your relationship with your family?  Some Christians are loving and patient with those outside of their families.  They can even forgive easily other people.  But the story is different when it comes to their own loved ones.  Masks are taken off and the true nature comes out when dealing with the family members.

But the Bible clearly says that the Lord commands His blessing when brethren dwell together in unity.  And when these blessings overflow, the natural tendency is for them to find way out in extending God’s goodness to others.

God is a generous God.  His nature is to give.  He has not withheld anything that is good.  And the best conduit of His blessings is man himself.  Blessings come in different shapes, sizes, and ways.  While we do not see them as blessings, they actually are.  As you open your heart and hand to reach out to others, you become a channel of God’s blessings.  But you say, ‘I have not enough.’  Look again.  A smile..a caring hand..an understanding heart..a teary eye….It doesn’t take material things to extend God’s blessings to others.  What you’ve gone thru in life are simply education for what you can give back to others in the future.  As you went thru the dark tunnels of life and came out of them better rather than bitter, you can be a channel of His blessings.

Beautiful hands are those do that goes the old adage.  These hands move only because the mind and the heart tell them to.  Won’t you tell your hands right now to do and become a channel of God’s blessings today?
